A Summer Cottage Core Wedding at Saddle Woods Farm | Hayley & Adam
I adore Hayley + Adam, so much so that you’ll find that I also blogged their winter engagement session at Long Hunter State Park here. They are the sweetest couple. They’re both studying currently at Mizzou and planned the most gorgeous wedding in the middle of it. I was honored when they reached out for their wedding imagery at their venue Saddlewood Farms in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Hayley had such a vision for her summer July wedding. She had the most colorful + bright silk flowers that contrasted against the woods at Saddlewood Farms so beautifully. Inside the barn, the tables featured mismatched vintage china giving off this cutie summer cottage core wedding vibe. I loved having calls with her leading up to the wedding because we honestly shared the same aesthetic and I really wanted to create imagery for them that reflected a woodsy + whimsical wedding in the summer of Tennessee.
The Venue for a Colorful & Cottage Core Wedding
The venue Saddlewood Farms is gorgeous. It has all kinds of rocks, wooded forestry, and open green space. I really loved working alongside Morgan, the venue coordinator. They are super knowledgeable at this venue and ready to help whenever you need. The whole week leading up we were praying for no rain as every day the forecast was showing scattered storms. The team at Saddlewood Farms helped immensely and it held off for their ceremony just barely.
One of my favorite images of the day is when Hayley and Adam are finishing prayer, saying their vows, and it started to rain down on them. And she looks up into the sky while holding his hands. I had wanted to incorporate that feeling and anticipation of the rain all day long into their gallery for them, I just couldn’t find that right opportunity until that moment, and when that happened I was so happy.
Adam and Hayley love each other so much.
It’s evident in their imagery, they are so fun and easy going and down to try whatever. Once we got to the reception, it was such a party! All of their college friends were so sweet, all making the long drive in to Tennessee to celebrate them!! Some of my favorite moments were when they were crowd surfing Hayley’s little brother and her dad getting in the dance circle. I also shot a roll of Portra 800 35mm film for them, and they couldn’t have turned out better between the film scans and the digital imagery. I’m just so glad to have been a part of this day, endless congratulations to Hayley + Adam!!
Here is the sweet review Hayley left me:
“Nicole is the most professional and kind person in the wedding vendor industry that I met, during my planning experience. She was so intentional asking us about our story so that she could best capture what we wanted to see from our day! She paid attention to the little details we asked for and was efficient and passionate about her work. Nicole is not just a photographer, she is an ARTIST! Her photos are top tier and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!”
