Photographed the sweetest couple this past month at Long Hunter State Park outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Hayley + Adam are both in college studying at Mizzou and met one another at a church function. She grew up in Franklin, TN and he grew up in Missouri! Adam proposed to her at the iconic Opryland Hotel in Nashville on New Year’s Day. They found me on Instagram and made the long drive in to Tennessee for the weekend for their engagement photos, and it was so much fun!
It was such a cold February evening, we started out photographing in the woods far past the areas of restoration. We were shocked at how much green still was left on the trees for this time of year in Tennessee. The weather is always so unpredictable this time of year in the south, and by the time we had made it out to the lake it had actually started to snow. My camera lens picked up the flickers of snow in their images, and I was so stoked. Long Hunter State Park is amazing for engagements, it’s so private and serene. We even saw deer along the trail and birds by the lake.
Hayley + Adam were SO sweet the entire evening, just joyful and giddy about their engagement. I feel like I barely had to tell them anything, they were so natural in front of the camera. They’re super passionate about one another as well as their love for Jesus Christ, and it shines through in these images. I seriously cannot wait to photograph their summer wedding as they are the cutest couple to me. 🤍
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
