The Lodge at Glendorn: The Perfect Outdoorsy Destination Wedding Venue
Tucked away in the forests of northern Pennsylvania, The Lodge at Glendorn feels like stepping into another world. This historic resort is surrounded by miles of trees, winding trails, and quiet streams. This makes it an incredible choice for couples who want a destination wedding that feels immersive and intentional. I flew into New York to photograph this wedding weekend.
The Lodge at Glendorn is ideal for intimate wedding weekends where everyone can stay on site and truly disconnect. Guests wake up together, spend their days outdoors, and celebrate without ever needing to leave the property. It feels relaxed, cozy, and deeply connected to nature. This makes it the perfect backdrop for this summer camp–inspired celebration. For couples dreaming of a wedding that feels more like a summer camp than a single event, Glendorn offers something truly rare.
Summer Camp & National Park Inspired Design
This wedding leaned fully into a summer camp and national park theme, and every detail felt thoughtful and personal. With just 50 guests, the weekend felt intimate and communal in the best way. Instead of a packed schedule, the couple created space for their guests to enjoy the outdoors together. Ttrap and skeet shooting, fly fishing, paddleboarding, and slow afternoons spent exploring the property were a few highlights.
Evenings were filled with s’mores by the fire, an apple cider press, and long conversations that stretched late into the night. The reception tables were inspired by different national parks, each styled with vintage books, tin candles, and natural textures that felt both elevated and nostalgic. The design struck that perfect balance between playful and refined, making the entire weekend feel like an adult summer camp with intention and heart.
Wedding Weekend Photography
My team and I documented the entire weekend, from the welcome party to morning brunch and the afterparty. Photographing full wedding weekends is something I love deeply because it allows the story to unfold naturally. By the time the wedding day arrives, I’ve already gotten to know the couple’s closest people, which creates space for more honest, emotional images.
The moments in between — laughter over coffee, quiet conversations by the fire, spontaneous adventures — are often just as meaningful as the ceremony itself. Capturing a wedding weekend in full allows those moments to live alongside the bigger celebrations, creating a complete and cohesive story that truly reflects the experience.
Film Photos & Super 8 Film
This weekend was documented with a mix of digital photography, 35mm film, and Super 8 film. Film felt especially fitting for a setting like Glendorn, where everything feels timeless and grounded. The grain, softness, and warmth of film paired beautifully with the forest surroundings and vintage-inspired design.
Super 8 added another layer of storytelling, capturing movement and emotion in a way that still images can’t. From guests wandering the grounds to candlelit evenings and outdoor adventures, the film feels like a living memory of the weekend — imperfect, honest, and full of life.
Destination Wedding & Elopement Photographer

I specialize in nontraditional weddings, wedding weekends, and national park–inspired celebrations, and I love helping couples create days that feel true to them rather than following a formula.
