Lost River Cave Wedding in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Hannah & Tyler reached out this past year for their spring wedding at the beautiful & unique Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Hannah relayed in her inquiry that she felt incredibly emotional when finally connecting with me. She had been looking for a photographer that would bring the nature & landscape of their venue and highlight that in their imagery. We took their engagement photos in the spring in East Nashville, and met later that next summer for their big day!

The Lost River Cave Venue

The venue Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky is a geological wonder and has so many tourists come to visit it. Kentucky is known for its vast cave system, and up until the evening Lost River Cave has boat tours that take you inside the cave. It is such a hidden gem of a venue. The Blue Hole is the perfect spot to have your ceremony along the river. There is even a field that I have found gets the most perfect sunset for photos and tends to be really private.

Hannah and Tyler have been together for years. They chose the Lost River Cave venue because they love being outside and in nature together. They got ready at a nearby hotel and then had the sweetest first look along the river. Hannah did her own florals which turned out amazing. They had a traditional Jewish ceremony with the breaking of the glass. It was the first time I had seen the horah, or lifting of the chairs, in person. It was so much fun to photograph! Their day was so sweet & kind just like them. It was a dream to get to spend the day with them.

Though I’m based in Nashville, Tennessee, I actually went to college at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where Lost River Cave is located.
