Kentucky Wedding at The Stonehouse at Silver Creek | Adam & Erin
Where do I begin with this sweet spring wedding for Adam & Erin? I met Erin the very first day of nursing school orientation. We sat by each other then randomly and would sit by one another for the next two years while we were learning & growing. Adam is a close friend of my fiance. He was one of the very first people to reach out when I launched my photography business back in 2021. I photographed their proposal along with their engagement session at St James Court in Old Louisville Kentucky. When they reached out on my contact form about their big day, I was so excited. I’m so stoked to share these images from their wedding day in Kentucky at The Stonehouse at Silver Creek.
Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses and Colorful Wildflowers
Erin chose to have her bridesmaids in mismatched blue dresses that gave the cutest cottagecore look. The dresses looked beautiful against the vines and greenery at The Stonehouse at Silver Creek. Their florals, designed by Ephemeral Florals in Kentucky, were some of the most gorgeous bouquets I’ve ever seen. One of my favorite photos is one where the florals are all framing Erin’s face. I don’t think I’ve ever taken a more colorful image. Bright wildflower florals and mismatched bridesmaid dresses have definitely been a 2023 wedding trend and this is the wedding I became obsessed with them!
The Venue for a Woodsy, Forest Wedding in Kentucky
I traveled to Lexington, Kentucky to photograph their day at the venue they were drawn to, The Stonehouse at Silver Creek. The Stonehouse at Silver Creek is the perfect venue for a woodsy, forest wedding in Kentucky. Their ceremony space was in the tea garden and we went down to take a lot of their bride & groom portraits in the sage grass fields. Erin got ready in the old, historic house on site and walked along cobblestone to meet Adam for their first look. If you are looking for a wedding venue that gives a forest vibe in Kentucky, this is an amazing space!
