Summer evenings, wildflower fields, golden sunsets—and a dog in tow? That’s the recipe for a dreamy engagement session. Hanna & Conner’s engagement session at Long Hollow Gardens was one of those evenings where everything just clicked. The light was perfect, the laughter was real, and every photo felt like it captured them.
Long Hollow Gardens
Located just outside of Nashville, Long Hollow Gardens is one of the most stunning venues in Tennessee for both weddings and engagement sessions. It’s part working vineyard, part botanical garden, and part romantic greenhouse—all blended together into one dreamy setting.
The venue offers endless backdrops for photos, from the rows of grapevines to the wildflower gardens to the modern glass greenhouse. Every inch of the property feels lush and intentional, making it easy to move from spot to spot without ever losing that natural, organic beauty.
It’s a perfect location if you want your engagement photos to feel light, airy, and full of life—with just a touch of Southern vineyard charm.
Wildflower & Vineyard Venue in Nashville, Tennessee
One of the best things about Long Hollow Gardens is the variety of photo locations in one place. Whether you’re wandering through the wildflower fields, strolling under the vineyard trellises, or posing beneath the tall, sweeping trees, every area offers a slightly different vibe.
The wildflower field is especially beautiful in late spring and summer, when the flowers are in full bloom and the light hits just right at sunset. The greenhouse also adds a really fun, modern touch—perfect for couples who want a mix of romantic outdoor shots and more architectural, editorial-style portraits.
As a Nashville wedding photographer, this venue always feels like a dream to shoot at because the light, color, and scenery come together so naturally without needing a lot of extra posing or styling.
Summer Nashville Engagement Photos
There’s something about summer engagement sessions in Nashville that just hits differently. The long evenings, the soft golden light, and the feeling that the whole world is slowing down for a minute—it creates such an easy, joyful atmosphere for photos.
We scheduled Hanna & Conner’s session for golden hour, and the sunset light wrapped everything in the softest glow. The combination of the wildflowers, vineyard, and their playful energy made the whole evening feel like we were just hanging out, taking it all in.
Their sweet dog also made a guest appearance, running through the fields and stealing a few shots (and hearts) along the way. Having a pet involved always adds an extra layer of natural, unfiltered joy to engagement photos—and this session was no exception.
Hanna & Conner
Hanna and I actually went to college together, so getting to reconnect and photograph this season of their life has been such a full-circle moment. You can tell just by watching them together that they have the kind of relationship that’s full of deep friendship and lots of laughter.
We explored the whole venue during their session—starting with the vineyard rows, moving into the wildflowers, and finishing under the trees as the last of the sunset dipped behind the hills. Every part of the evening felt relaxed and natural, which is exactly how engagement photos should be.
I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding at Long Hollow Gardens later this year. If their engagement session was any hint of what’s to come, it’s going to be something really special.
Nashville Film Wedding Photographer
Every wedding package I offer includes a complimentary engagement session because I believe the best photos happen when we already know and trust each other. These sessions aren’t just about getting photos for your save-the-dates—they’re about getting comfortable, having fun, and capturing your connection exactly as it is.
Along with digital photography, I also offer 35mm film photography for couples who want that soft, nostalgic feel woven into their wedding story. Film adds a richness and timelessness that’s hard to replicate—and it’s such a beautiful way to capture both engagement sessions and wedding days.
