This magical Cheekwood Gardens Nashville elopement from last August lives rent free in my mind. Allie & Drew reached out for their day, and we crafted a whole elopement experience based on their favorite things. They met in Nashville while Allie was working as a travel nurse and shared their first date at Mike’s Ice Cream downtown and so they wanted to incorporate that into their photos.
Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Cheekwood Mansion and Botanical Gardens. They had florals sourced from a Nashville favorite flower shoppe, Amelia’s Flowers. They got ready at a boutique hotel downtown, The Virgin Hotel, high above the city of Nashville. It rained lightly in the morning at their first look but then held off for the rest of their elopement day.
Wisteria Arbor at Cheekwood Gardens Wedding Photos
They chose to have their ceremony at the iconic Wisteria Arbor attached to the Cheekwood Mansion. It was incredibly intimate and emotional.
Eloping at Cheekwood Gardens provides the perfect balance of intimacy and privacy. With its sprawling 55 acres, you’ll have the freedom to choose a secluded spot for your ceremony. Allie & Drew got married just the two of them but you are allowed to have guests at your Cheekwood elopement.
There are so many amazing spots to take wedding photos at Cheekwood. There is a full forest, the stairs leading up to the Wisteria Arbor, the great lawn in front of the mansion, and endless flowers and botanicals that vary by the season.
Downtown Nashville Elopement
After the ceremony at Cheekwood, we headed to our last stop on the elopement, their first date spot Mike’s Ice Cream. It was so cute seeing all the tourists congratulate them and take photos. We popped champagne in the streets and found crosswalks to run across!
Heading to Broadway is a super fun way to end your elopement day in Nashville. You can see some of my favorite spots in the city to photograph elopements & weddings by clicking here.
